Police declared all of downtown Los Angeles to be an unlawful assembly area and ordered protesters to go home on Sunday night after a third day of violence hit demonstrations against President Donald Trump's immigration policy.

As immigration raid protests continue for a third day, Trump - who has already called in the National Guard - says things "look really bad in LA".

Clashes between protestors and law enforcement turned violent in Los Angeles as demonstrations against ICE raids ramped up over the weekend. President Trump deployed the National Guard to the area, and the military confirmed to CBS News that hundreds of active duty Marines are now on standby to respond to the unrest.
