Scattered shower and storm chances remain in the forecast through the weekend, including Father’s Day as our unsettled pattern last through next week. There won’t be any true cold fronts to swing through to kick showers and storms out of the region, so keep the rain gear nearby for the next week.

First Alert AccuTrack shows a much quieter scene across Central Alabama today as we head into the evening. Temperatures have been warming up with some breaks of sunshine amidst the partly cloudy sky.

The Midlands will have the potential of seeing more strong to severe storms Monday afternoon into Monday night.
