NEW YORK (Reuters) -Before the jury in Sean "Diddy" Combs' sex trafficking trial returned from a lunch break on Thursday, the gray-bearded hip-hop mogul turned to face courtroom sketch artist Jane Rosenberg in the first row to make an unusual request.

"Jane" told the jury that she started the fight by knocking Combs into a countertop and throwing candles at him before he allegedly chased her around her Los Angeles home. She further alleged that Combs kicked doors, placed her in a chokehold, lifted her by the neck, dragged her by the hair and arm, and punched and kicked her.

The accusers have framed Sean Combs as an abusive employer and romantic partner yet say they hesitated to leave or stayed in his circle despite the way he treated them.
