Italy coach Luciano Spalletti has said that Monday’s World Cup qualifier against Moldova would be his last. Spalletti had come in for criticism after the Italian side lost 3-0 to Norway in their opening World Cup qualifying match last week.

Luciano Spalletti revealed that he has been sacked as head coach of the Italian national team after falling to a 3-0 defeat in Norway on Friday. The Italian has held his post since 2023, taking over from Roberto Mancini and overseeing the Azzurri ’s round of 16 exit from Euro 2024.
