After making a shocking NLDS exit in the playoffs last season after leading 2-1 in the series, the Friars hope a series win over the Los Angeles Dodgers this week is a foreshadow of what's to come in October.

That changes on Monday when the Dodgers and Padres finally meet. As all Dodger fans well know, the NLDS last year ended with the Dodgers pitching staff holding the Padres scoreless over the last 24 innings of the series, and the Dodgers coming back from a 2-1 deficit to advance to the NLCS.

The Los Angeles Dodgers will head to San Diego to take on the Padres in a three-game series to begin the week. As they go into the series, they will look to hold on to a one-game lead over the Padres and Giants in the NL West. Los Angeles has lost five of their last eight games, leading to an extremely close battle in the division.
