Roman Anthony's first MLB hit in the first inning of Tuesday's win came literally feet in front of an emotional personal cheering section seated right next to the Red Sox dugout.

Boston Red Sox outfielder Roman Anthony recorded his first career big-league hit on Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Rays (GameTracker), just 24 hours after making his MLB debut. Anthony's hit came with runners on second and third and two outs in the bottom of the first.

Playing in front his family, the rookie rightfielder helped push the Red Sox to a 3-1 win over the Rays on Tuesday night with his first hit and a highlight-reel catch in right field, a marked improvement on both sides of the ball over his major league debut a day prior.
