George Russell of Mercedes wins the Canadian Grand Prix for his first Formula 1 victory of the season. The Tigers got the win over their SEC rivals, and the Bruins put the Racers' Cinderella run one game away from ending.

Mercedes driver George Russell took the checkered flag Sunday at the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal. It's the first win of the season for Russell, who started on pole position, and the fourth of his career. Red Bull's Max Verstappen finished second while Russell's Mercedes rookie teammate Kimi Antonelli came in third to earn his first-ever podium.

The result saw Russell claim the sixth pole of his career while also starting at the front of the grid for the second consecutive year at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve
