Police have been attacked in Ballymena for the third consecutive night as authorities struggle to clamp down on the violent disorder

Ballymena in Northern Ireland is witnessing some of Northern Ireland’s most violent riots in more than a decade. Petrol bombs, bricks, and a hatchet are some of the items that have been thrown at police since the violence broke out on Monday, June 9.

Police have been attacked with fireworks, bottles and bricks as violence erupted for a third night in Northern Ireland. The worst of the disorder was in Ballymena, but unrest also spread to other towns on Wednesday evening.
