Multiple popular online services were hit by outages on Thursday afternoon, including Spotify, Discord, Google and Amazon Web Services, according to Downdetector, a website that tracks service disruptions across the web.

NEW YORK — Popular online services across the globe were disrupted Thursday due to ongoing issues at Google Cloud. Tens of thousands of users of Spotify, Discord and other platforms began noticing issues with their services early in the afternoon, according to Downdetector, which tracks outages.

Much of the internet appears to have broken, with Spotify, Google, Snap and Discord all hit by major issues. The problem appears to be related to technical issues at Google Cloud, which provides the infrastructure that powers much of the internet.
