Protesters are gathering at the Iowa State Capitol on Saturday for what is expected to be the largest single-day anti-Trump demonstration since the beginning of his second administration. The big picture: The widespread No Kings movement will run counter to President Trump's multimillion-dollar military parade in Washington.

The rallies come on the same day as a military parade in Washington D.C. honoring the U.S. Army's 250th birthday and President Donald Trump's 79th birthday.

Protests are planned in hundreds of communities across the country on Saturday, June 14.Called "No Kings Day," the rallies are being held to oppose what organizers see as Trump's power grab and focus on participants' patriotism and support for the U.S. Constitution. American flags are expected to be front and center.

So far, the cities of Birmingham, Mobile, Montgomery, Tuscaloosa, Huntsville, Scottsboro, Fort Payne, Guntersville, Jacksonville, Auburn, Dadeville, Selma, and Dothan have scheduled June 14 protests in Alabama.

People around the country, including in the Rochester area, are set to protest against President Donald Trump's policies on Saturday in what's being called "No Kings Day".

The "No Kings" protest and march happening in Philadelphia on Saturday coincides with hundreds of rallies scheduled to take place across the country.
