Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky came into the 2025 WNBA season looking to take a big step from last year. So far, things have not gone according to plan. Following their loss at home to the Indiana Fever on Saturday night,

Angel Reese is not losing confidence despite the Chicago Sky's struggles this 2025 WNBA season. She made that abundantly clear on Sunday, a day after their loss to the Caitlin Clark-less Indiana Fever.

Caitlin Clark wasn’t on the court, but the Indiana Fever looked a lot like they did in the season opener by demolishing Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky 79-52 on Saturday night in front of 19,496 fans at the United Center.

Vandersloot's injury is a major loss for the rebuilding Sky, and in particular their young bigs, Kamilla Cardoso and Angel Reese. Hailey Van Lith, the No. 11 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, took Vandersloot place in the starting lineup for the second half on Saturday, and will likely assume that position for the rest of the season.

Not much went to plan for the Chicago Sky on Saturday night. They lost 79-52 to the shorthanded Indiana Fever. Even worse, veteran point guard Courtney Vandersloot went down with an ugly knee injury in the first quarter.
